This position is located at US Mint,Mint-HQ-Office of the Dir-Strategy and Perform Dir. As a ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY AND PERFORMANCE, you will be responsible for leading organizational performance processes (including strategic planning, enterprise risk management, and data-driven organizational performance reviews), setting program management policy, promoting the use of evidence and data for informed decision-making, and building capability in continuous process improvement.

Duties

As a ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY AND PERFORMANCE, you will:

Serve as the principal advisor to the Director and Deputy Director to identify and improve key management and performance improvement initiatives and outcomes.
Lead the planning, development, recommendation, coordination, and implementation of risk management policies and strategies, as well as design management techniques to achieve risk management goals.
Oversee the creation and implementation of Mint's Strategic Plan.
Provide executive leadership and direction to staff through subordinate managers in the day-to-day operations and develop and train staff, provide performance management and counseling, when necessary, evaluate and appraise the performance of staff members and provide coaching.

As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, you must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability; and that is directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and Technical/Professional Qualifications (TPQs) listed below. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent with state or local government, the private sector, or non-governmental organizations.

ECQ 5: BUILDING COALITIONS - This core qualification involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, state and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals.
