We're looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Finance to join our leadership team and help guide the financial future of our organization. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, combining strong business acumen with the ability to lead high-performing teams and drive operational excellence.

As Senior Director of Finance, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the President & CEO, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Leadership Team, providing financial insights that support critical business decisions, long-term growth, and organizational success.

What You'll Do

Strategic Business Partnership

Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's strategic, operational, and financial goals.
Provide financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations that drive decision-making and performance.
Collaborate with department leaders to identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and process improvement.
Support merger and acquisition evaluations, due diligence efforts, and integration activities.
Assist with financial analysis and development of grant proposals and strategic funding opportunities.

Financial Leadership & Operations

Lead and oversee key finance and accounting functions, including:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Financial Reporting
- General Ledger Accounting
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Treasury & Cash Management
- Payroll
- Fixed Assets
- Capital Projects Accounting
- Project Controls & Finance Support
Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
Develop financial models, business cases, and performance analyses to support strategic initiatives.

Accounting, Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and internal controls.
Provide guidance on technical accounting matters and complex business transactions.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
Support Board reporting, governance activities, and executive presentations.
Assist with audit activities and ensure strong financial governance practices.

Treasury & Capital Management

Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance.
Support banking relationships and financing activities.
Analyze capital investment opportunities and expenditure proposals.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Drive process automation and operational efficiencies across finance functions.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA and/or MBA required.
10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
5+ years of management or senior finance leadership experience.
Demonstrated success leading multiple finance disciplines within a complex organization.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and internal controls.
Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and Boards of Directors.
Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
Experience with ERP systems and financial management software.

Preferred Qualifications

Big Four public accounting experience.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and business integrations.
Experience working within multinational organizations.
Telecommunications, infrastructure, utility, manufacturing, or other regulated-industry experience.
