Vice President - Integrated Solutions Executive

The Vice President, Integrated Solutions Executive will serve as the linchpin in architecting complex solutions that span across all Premier business units. By leveraging cross-functional collaboration, this role will drive integrated sales initiatives, ensuring that our offerings meet the evolving needs of our clients. The VP will assist in building and overseeing the execution of strategies for the solution design, business development, relationship management, and delivery processes across the enterprise. Primary responsibilities include:

Working closely with Member Field Services, ITS, PPP, PAS, and other Premier businesses, the Vice President will play a central role in strategic account planning. Through collaborative efforts, this position will ensure alignment in our approach to client engagement, driving mutual success and value creation.
In partnership with Member Field Services, the Vice President will establish and cultivate C-suite relationships with our clients. By positioning themselves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, this role will drive value creation and foster long-term partnerships based on mutual trust and respect.
With access to an extensive and robust relationship matrix, the Vice President will capitalize on existing connections to drive sales in greenspace accounts. By nurturing and expanding these relationships, this role will unlock opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
Work with Commercial teams to understand member market pressures and subsequent strategic initiatives aimed towards mitigating those market pressures.
Design and execute client delivery strategies that capitalize on Premier's data and knowledge assets in providing comprehensive healthcare solutions in support of member strategic initiatives.
Drive business development, go-to-market, thought-leadership, sales, and relationship management strategies to meet aggressive growth targets.
Work in a highly matrixed organization balancing sales, market and solution development, as well as cross-functional collaboration across Premier, ensuring effective communication and coordination of GPO and Performance Services objectives.
Develop, oversee and support management of the methodologies and expertise required to successfully deliver solutions.
Model the Premier core values and foster an engaging and supportive work environment.

Major Accountabilities

Leadership - 30%

Provide consultation to clients in developing performance improvement strategies with a proven track record of delivering complex multi-workstream engagements ($20m+) to include technology and sustainability tools.
Manage all aspects of client relationships.
Provide subject matter expertise in problem analysis, solution development, presentation development, and solution execution.
Oversee hiring, development and cross-training of staff to ensure available capabilities meet current and anticipated delivery needs.
Establish performance expectations, provide coaching/mentoring and develop high potential leaders.
Work collaboratively with sales and marketing to develop marketing tools including advertising plan, promotional/capabilities brochure.
Evaluate engagement, delivery and sales processes and conduct client satisfaction reviews to improve existing processes and deliverables.
Assess reasons for lost sales to improve future success.

Business Development - 40%

In collaboration with Performance Services leadership and Member Field Services, lead the Business Development/Pursuit process of designated solutions.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet aggressive revenue targets.
Build and expand business partnerships with members and top health-system clients, including leading the pursuit and close of new consulting engagements. Strategize, research and identify new growth opportunities.
Immediately add value through bringing an existing portfolio of clients and C-suite relationships (successfully sourced $10M+ per annum over the past 5 years), which will translate into securing meaningful C-suite executive meetings with leading health systems to grow our business through multi-year recurring contracts.
Collaborate with other senior professionals across Premier's GPO and PPP / ITS businesses to define, enhance, enrich, and cross-sell a broader range of technology-enabled consulting services.
Work with Corporate Marketing and Public Relations in defining market segment campaigns and thought leadership development, including packaging and promotion of solutions.
Develop plans and strategies to anticipate client needs and maintain client loyalty. Leverage Market Intelligence in assess industry trends, emerging issues and impact on clients.

Practice Area Strategy - 10%

Design and execute client delivery strategies to provide profitable healthcare solutions.
Play a leadership role in the integration process of Premier's Performance Improvement technology portfolio with the Advisory Services go-to-market and value proposition.
Possess a defensible point of view (POV) on, healthcare performance improvement and the role of technology in the process. This POV should serve as a differentiator for Premier, and the ideal candidate will contribute his / her perspective to our overall strategy.
Possess knowledge of our competitors and their activity / penetration within the market, as well as play a leading role in developing and enacting strategies to defend Premier's competitive market position and share of client consulting spend.
Ensure on-time completion of projects, achieving or exceeding project improvement targets and target project margin/profitability.
Establish and monitor common relationship management, contracting, and consulting methodologies, consistent templates, solution frameworks and common metrics and goals to support business model. Encourage innovation and improvements and standardize best practices.
Establish and oversee methodology required to deliver solutions including analytics, deliverables, staff utilization model.
Determine and allocate necessary resources and expertise to sell, manage and deliver engagements.
Collaborate with internal leaders, technology resources and other stakeholders to enhance offerings.

Stakeholder Engagement/Solution Design - 20%

Lead the design of innovative solutions based on client needs including:
- Conceptual framework development
- Connecting strategy to client needs
- Alignment to current and future technologies
- Novel solution architecture such as outsourcing and MSO development
Document and share best practices internally/externally.
In collaboration with business development team, strategically drive pre-qualified project discussions.
Translate stakeholder objectives into a solution continuum.
Expand or focus client research vision to orient and prioritize stakeholder objectives.
Incorporate innovation and creativity in assisting members in tailored approaches to close performance gaps.

Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $195,000 - $361,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
