We are looking to add a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing leading-edge electronics for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, we would like to hear from you.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and maintain supplier quality processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100, leveraging business systems functionalities to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain to ensure supplier flow down and compliance to QMS, customer, industry, regulatory/statutory, and any applicable requirements.Maintain approved suppliers including supplier qualification, periodic performance review, supplier relationship management, risk assessment, and removal, if needed.Provide technical guidance, support, and training to suppliers to ensure alignment to CesiumAstro requirements for execution.Collaborate with design engineering to ensure suppliers design for manufacturability (DFM) considerations are incorporated.Establish and analyze supplier performance metrics including defect rate, nonconformances, on-time delivery, cost of rework/scrap, and supplier corrective action resolution.Use performance data to drive strategic partnerships and develop supplier capability with key suppliers.Perform supplier site audits and source inspection as needed.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.5-8 years of supplier quality experience in aerospace and defense industries.Experience managing suppliers for space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, integrated assemblies, and test.Demonstrated skills in supplier management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to interpret engineering documentation, requirements, and other supplier flow downs.Experience with certified quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation.Experience with aerospace and electronics manufacturing.$115,000 - $136,000 a yearCesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
