MLT - Medical Laboratory

Laboratory Technologist with a Medical Technologist specialty is sought for a travel assignment in Helena, Montana. This hospital-based laboratory position offers 40 guaranteed hours per week with a rotating 8-hour shift schedule (evenings preferred; may include 10-hour shifts; occasional day or night shifts). The assignment requires active licensure and national certification in a hospital lab setting with responsibilities spanning core chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and blood bank work.

Weekly pay: $1,739–$1,837 per week

Hospital laboratory travel assignment

Licensure and credentialing: ASCP or AMT credentialed (CLS or MLT) required

Perform and review clinical laboratory tests across Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Chemistry with accurate results and timely reporting

conduct Gram stains and other microbiology techniques as part of routine panels

Operate and maintain instrumentation (Siemens Aptio Line, Siemens Atellica, Sysmex XN9000, Sysmex UN3000 or Iris) and perform routine QC/maintenance as assigned

Manage Blood Bank procedures and documentation, including compatibility testing and serious QC incidents, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards

Enter and verify data in EMR systems (Epic and Sunquest Blood Bank) with attention to specimen labeling, results, and quality control documentation

Collaborate with the laboratory team and other clinical staff; adhere to the rotating schedule and ensure coverage without floating outside the Lab

Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (Medical Lab Technician/Technologist) required

ASCP or AMT credentialed (CLS or MLT) required

Experience with Epic and Sunquest Blood Bank EMR

Gel testing for Blood Bank and Micro setups

Ability to work in a hospital laboratory setting with a rotating shift pattern and to perform Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Gram Stain duties as part of the assignment

No floating outside the Lab; strong adherence to safety, quality control, and regulatory standards
