CNC Programmers - Manufacturing

CNC Machinist
Reports to: CNC Foreman/Shop Foreman
Supervisory responsibilities: None.
Summary/objective: Advanced Tooling Systems (ATS) is seeking an entry-level CNC Machinist to join their team! The employee will work on the small mill - running the machine and doing their own programming. This role provides on-the-job training with opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience, but we welcome those with limited experience to apply as well.
Essential functions:
Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed.
Ability to learn to perform your own programming and running your details.
Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
Keep work area clean.
Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
Required competency, education, and experience:
Basic CNC operating experience (ideally 1 year)
Basic knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
Candidate must have valid driver's license
Preferred education and experience:
~ Programming experience using Gibbs Cam

Work environment: Manufacturing environment
Physical demands:
Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time - day shift. Some overtime might be required.
Travel: None.
