The Medical-Surgical Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital is a great place to learn and grow, supported by a longstanding leadership team and strong preceptors dedicated to mentoring new nurses. The Med Surg has 21 bed unit. This unit offers a collaborative, supportive environment ideal for both new graduates and experienced nurses seeking to enhance their skillset. Unit coordinators are on staff, ensuring smooth operations and quality patient care. Registered Nurse Transition to Practice Programs at Sentara:

General Nursing Orientation
Mentoring and Unit-based Preceptors
Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.
Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
Registered nursing License (Required)
Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
1 year of acute care (preferred)
~ Previous healthcare experience (preferred)
