Description:
PCU NIGHTS (36 hrs/week)
Travel experience is required.
Candidates must have skills in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration.
Candidates must have experience in central line care/management, feeding tube care and management, and heparin protocols.
Candidates should be able to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias.
Candidates should understand isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Candidates must be comfortable managing cardiac and vasoactive drips when no titration is required.
Skills in managing dysrhythmias and administering oxygen are essential.
Experience with PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown care and telemetry is expected.
Candidates must be capable of starting and maintaining IVs, managing surgical drains, and providing wound care.
Float requirements will include being available to assist on different units as needed.
Candidates will manage patient care for orthopedics, total joint replacement, and neuro spine surgery patients.
Reference requirements include two professional references, at least one from a manager or supervisor.
