The Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacist position is a full-time, day shift role at Riverside Methodist Hospital. They will work alongside an interdisciplinary care team in to provide safe, high quality, and cost-effective drug therapy. The pharmacist is responsible for patient-centered education throughout the course of their therapy, providing appropriate patient instruction and dosing guidance based upon tests and laboratory results, reviewing individualized patient treatment plans, and ensuring patient adherence to medication therapy. This position will support primarily ambulatory needs but have limited inpatient responsibilities related to transitions of care and/or medication use work. Pharmacists will be expected to serve as preceptors for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents in their area of training and expertise.

Optimal candidates will have a PGY2 in ambulatory care and BPS certification in ambulatory care, cardiology, or pharmacotherapy or equivalent clinical experience.

Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution

Basic Life Support Certificationcurrent or obtained during the orientation period (unless greater than 50% of scheduled work hours, as determined by the manager, are completed off-site or not in a patient care setting)
