Head of Engineering and Project Management

LIN Consulting specializes in all aspects of traffic, civil, and electrical engineering. Our firm has an established reputation for providing premier engineering services to Caltrans, various Southern California counties and cities, and private developers. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager for our Diamond Bar office. This role is designed for a professional ready to transition into a leadership capacity, bridging the gap between technical execution and project management. You will work under the guidance of senior management to execute key objectives, manage critical project issues, and ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Collaborative Development: Work closely with senior members to learn about and assist with complex transportation engineering and planning work, ensuring alignment with firm standards.

Manage the design and review of traffic signal design, signing, pavement delineation, traffic control, roadway lighting and ITS plans.

Project Execution & Management: Lead project tasks, maintain strict schedule and budget controls, and oversee the production of plans and technical reports.

Quality Assurance: Review work produced by junior staff to ensure it meets the highest professional standards and adheres to both firm and client quality control protocols.

Supervise project personnel and provide active mentorship through counsel and knowledge sharing. Support marketing activities, including proposal contributions and maintaining client relationships to foster firm growth.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to deliver effective oral communication to clients and stakeholders.
