Machinist I
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
As a Machinist I, you'll play a key role in manufacturing, modifying, repairing, and finishing mechanical components to exact specifications and tolerances.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate machine shop equipment, including:
Lathes
Milling machines
Drill presses
Grinders
Saws
Other machining equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, specifications, and work orders.
Select the appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining methods for each project.
Perform machining operations including:
Turning
Milling
Drilling
Boring
Grinding
Threading
Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
Identify machining defects and take corrective action following established procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications:
~ Previous machining experience or completion of a machining-related technical training program

Working knowledge of:
Machine shop practices, Materials and tooling, Precision measurement techniques
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
