Bookeeper (Accounting/Finance)

Maintain accurate and complete general ledger records
Record and categorize day-to-day financial transactions
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions
Review accounts for discrepancies and resolve reconciliation issues
Assist with payroll-related accounting and reporting, as needed
Prepare routine financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
Communicate with clients and internal team members to obtain information and resolve bookkeeping matters
Help improve and maintain efficient accounting processes and procedures
Support accountants, controllers, and other finance professionals as needed
3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Sage Intacct
• Demonstrated experience performing monthly account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a public accounting, outsourced accounting, or professional services environment
