HR Generalist (Perm)
New Iron
New Iron is partnering with an established global technology and manufacturing company to identify a HR Benefits Specialist to support its U.HR team. This is an onsite contract in Syracuse, NY
This position offers the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Benefits & Leave: Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, 401k), manage Open Enrollment, and coordinate leave administration (FMLA, ADA, parental leave).
HR Operations: Handle full-lifecycle support including onboarding/offboarding, pre-employment screening, and HRIS record maintenance.
Serve as a trusted resource for policy, benefits, and procedure inquiries.
Experience: 3+ years in HR (Generalist/People Ops) with 2+ years of hands‑on benefits and leave administration.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or equivalent experience.
Skills: Strong understanding of compliance, excellent discretion with confidential data, and top‑tier organizational skills.
Preferred: HRIS experience (Workday, UKG, ADP, etc.), HR certification (SHRM-CP/PHR), and a background in manufacturing, engineering, or tech sectors.
This is an on‑site contract position for a client based in the U.
