Sun River Health is currently seeking Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our team supporting the Beacon site.

A Nurse Practitioner, under the direction of a physician, is responsible for planning, evaluating and delivering the health care of patients on assigned service. Emphases preventative health measures and education of patients. 3,500 Sign On Bonus- Terms and Conditions Apply

Part-Time Hourly salary: $Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Nurse Practitioner:

Takes histories, performs physical examinations, gives immunizations (as necessary) and does patient education and counseling.

Orders appropriate lab work, draws blood for lab work if needed, and performs some lab tests such as wet prep microscopic exams.

Prescribes treatment for minor illnesses, and consults with physician regarding medication, chronic illness and referrals when appropriate.

Attends provider meetings and participates in quality improvement programs and team assignments.

Follows OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines endorsed by department, organization, and overseen by Infection Control Officer.

Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards.

4 years of business office experience, preferably in a large medical practice with increasing levels of responsibility.

Preferred Work Experience: 8+ YearsMinimum Licensure: Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State and CPR/BLS

Required Skills & Knowledge:- Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures that nurse practitioners are trained to do and are necessary for practicing in health care centers.- Competence in delivery of health care to patients (including preventative health education)- Ability to collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.- Bilingual in both English and Spanish (orally and written) is preferred
