Head of Recruiting & HR

Overview The Human Resources (HR) Leader will report to the Regional Human Resource Leader and oversee the day-to-day operations of the human resources team at the new Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Cartersville, GA. This individual will help lead a workforce to distribute millions of cases of inventory annually to Chick-fil-A Operators throughout the region. The HR Leader will ensure that the workforce can meet the demands of the DC, working closely with HR leaders at Chick-fil-A, Inc. and other Chick-fil-A Supply distribution centers to drive the HR strategy at the DC. The HR Leader will manage reward and benefit systems to help meet broader organizational goals. This person will help drive continued innovation at an operation like no other in the food service industry, by focusing specifically on the engagement and development of the workforce. Additionally, this role will be trained and train other talent professionals at various distribution centers in the network. Most importantly, the HR Leader will lead in a way that supports Chick-fil-A’s vision and strategy while embodying the corporate purpose.

Support GM by providing guidance on performance management, problem solving, and various policies (e.g., Execute recruitment and retention initiatives that support the broader business goals of the DC Coordinate with the legal team at CFA Inc. to ensure legal compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements and advise DC leaders on employment law and government regulations

Implement and oversee performance review and incentive programs within the DC

Achieve target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to attrition, employee engagement and safety

Drive and oversee team member employee engagement strategy across all departments of the DC

Support organizational growth and future distribution center operations by participating in interview events, training/onboarding and providing temporary talent support, if needed

Complete other activities as deemed valuable by the organization Relationship Management:

Provide employee relations support to all distribution center staff

Recruit, train, and develop a strong team

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) 3 years of HR experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment

High School Diploma or equivalent

Demonstrated knowledge of general HR policies, procedures and practices

Ability to build relationships with and influence others across multiple operations

Experience recruiting and developing a strong, diverse team

Ability to lead through change management

Ability to occasionally work evenings, weekends and holidays

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to understand and communicate job-related information in English (reading, writing, and speaking) at the level reasonably necessary to safely and accurately perform the essential functions of the role, including, for example, understanding and safely following verbal instructions, completing documentation and work responsibilities, and accurately reading and interpreting company communications and policies like safety procedures, training, and tests

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources, or another relevant field

Spanish speaking strongly preferred (regional based qualification)

10+ years of HR experience in a distribution environment

Excellent knowledge of employment law and other governmental requirements related to human resources

for all functions performed in a distribution facility

Demonstrated business acumen and ownership of HR KPIs; using data to drive continuous improvement

Demonstrated ability leading in distribution center

Food service distribution experience

Travel Requirements 5%
