Summary of Job Duties:The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for producing quality images and providing patient care in the UAMS Breast Center.High School Diploma/GED
Graduation from an approved Radiology program; Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography
Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology
Mammography Registered

Operates specialized radiologic equipment to perform high-quality breast imaging exams, including mammography and breast ultrasounds.
Communicates mammography examination procedures to patients and enlists patient cooperation in positioning for radiological examination.
Obtains patient history and enters it into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Assists with breast procedures, including ultrasound biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, MRI-guided biopsy, and needle localizations.
Drives the mobile mammography van to events; sets up equipment and van.
