Overview You will provide expert post‑anesthesia care for patients recovering from a diverse range of procedures, from outpatient surgeries to complex high‑risk cases. Our PACU nurses are vital in ensuring smooth recovery and safe transition to the next phase of care, whether inpatient, outpatient discharge, or critical care. You will work with a wide range of acuity and procedures, including gynecology, urology, vascular, cardiac, pulmonary, trauma, orthopedics, plastics, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, and interventional radiology. Responsibilities Provide immediate post‑anesthesia care, prioritizing life‑sustaining needs and critical thinking to support patients during a critical time in recovery.
Build strong, trusting relationships with surgeons and anesthesia providers, fostering a supportive and empowered team environment.
Under the direction of the department director/charge nurse, care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications One year critical care or PACU experience.
Hemodynamics, phlebotomy, and airway management skills.
Basic computer skills.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.
BLS from AHA (Basic Life Support).
ACLS from AHA (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
Education Required: Associate’s degree in Nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
