As an Alzheimer's & Dementia Companion with Qualicare, you'll provide specialized, patient-centered support for clients living with memory loss and cognitive decline. Working under the guidance of a Care Coordinator, you'll bring structure, comfort, and connection to each day — helping clients feel safe, valued, and understood, while giving their families real peace of mind.
Provide patient, reassuring support with personal hygiene and daily routines
Offer gentle reminders and assistance with medications
Engage clients in memory-friendly activities, conversation, and companionship
Use redirection and calming techniques to help ease confusion, anxiety, or agitation
Follow individualized care plans designed around each client's cognitive needs
Experience with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care is a strong plus
Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to complete training
Reliable transportation to travel within your service area
A working phone and internet access
