This role primarily involves performing test and verification activities, including planning, test procedure development, and tracking verification and validation completion. It also involves collaboration with design engineering teams to develop, allocate, and verify test equipment requirements; define test configurations; develop data acquisition plans and scripts; and execute functional, performance, and environmental tests. Someone in this role would typically have a BS or MS degree in Systems Engineering or other relevant Engineering discipline, and 3 to 7 years of relevant Systems Engineering experience. Required3 to 7 years of relevant Systems Engineering experienceBachelor’s degree in systems engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProficient with Microsoft Office products to prepare written documents and with verbally presenting at meetings. Experience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space-rated systems, or of other systems with similar complexity or criticalityUS CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance (active clearances preferred, but not prerequisite).and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques is strongly desired.INCOSE or other Systems Engineering professional organization membership or certificationExperience with NASA JSC Flight Hardware Life Cycle, Certification, and Engineering processesWorking with minimal supervision, some of your major responsibilities will include:Managing verification and validation testing campaigns.Creating and maintaining SE&I data and models.Developing systems engineering presentations and documents.Supporting project management reviews.Leading analyses and trade studies to refine the system architecture, design solutions, and operational approaches.May involve mentoring and technical supervision of less experienced systems engineers.
