Automation Software Engineering

Software Engineer - Test Automation Location: Hazelwood, MO. Department of the Navy Tomahawk Land Attack Missile program. The role focuses on design, development, testing, and maintenance of non‑embedded software throughout the end‑to‑end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program.
Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated front‑end and back‑end tests in a .Net Framework and .Net 8/10 environment.
Create test automation plans based on program requirements.
Execute manual exploratory testing as needed; identify opportunities for automation.
Collaborate with product management and developers to establish comprehensive test scenarios.
Document identified defects in a bug tracking system and validate implemented fixes.
Track test automation metrics such as defect density, open defects, and time to resolution.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree.
Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications.
One year of test automation experience.
Proficiency with modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or .Net.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and five years of related work experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with nine years of directly related work experience, or thirteen years of related experience.
CompTIA Security+ Certification or better, unless a bachelor’s degree was earned in one of the following concentrations: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
Two years of test automation experience.
Experience with Ranorex or similar front‑end testing tools.
Two years of experience with Azure DevOps.
Three years of hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, SonarQube, Ranorex, Fortify, etc.
One year of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Experience with the .Net ecosystem and C#.
Pay & Benefits Pay range: $87,000 - $105,780.
