TITLE: Program Coordinator

Full Time, Exempt

To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the Program, including grant opportunities. In addition, the Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing the five key elements of positive youth development: fun, safety, recognition, opportunities & expectations, and supportive relationships in all daily interactions. The Program Coordinator is expected to uphold the Club values inside and outside of the Club and hold their staff accountable for maintaining the Club values. Approves program plans, including specialized and night programming.

Ensure all programming is high quality, fun, and engaging

Expected to be proactive and flexible while working with youth, parents, the community, and Club staff

Responsible for communicating daily with the Elementary Director on overall Club and program operations

Responsible for creating and implementing membership outreach strategies for l youth

Responsible for working in collaboration with community partners to enhance services

Administrative/Management:

Required to be on the floor assisting with floor management when members are in the Club

Responsible for managing behavioral and disciplinary issues

Promote the Club during school open houses, community events, etc.

Assist Program Directors with new member orientation

On snow days and unexpected full days, covering all shifts to ensure the Club can open

Manage budget and grant requirements

Bachelor’s degree or three years equivalent experience in a similar field preferred

Minimum of 1-year experience with youth services organizations

Must understand, implement, and demonstrate principles of behavior management and other youth treatment modalities, per the Club training and values of fun, supportive relationships, recognition, opportunities and expectations, and safety.

Must be able to provide leadership, on-the-spot and reflective feedback, and supervision to assigned employees to ensure they, too, understand and demonstrate principles of behavior management and other youth treatment modalities, per the Club training and values of fun, supportive relationships, recognition, opportunities and expectations, and safety.

Must be of the mental and physical capacity to observe, interact, and communicate with youth, staff, volunteers, parents, etc., Ability to stand/sit for long periods throughout a shift

Ability to operate various types of general office equipment including PC, telephone, copier, etc.
