Head of Project Management

Excel Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the continued growth of our commercial and industrial construction operations. This position will serve as a key liaison between owners, general contractors, design teams, and trade partners while overseeing the successful execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes.

This role is ideal for a construction professional who understands how large commercial and industrial projects are delivered and can effectively manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, and project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

Manage commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through completion

Coordinate activities between owners, general contractors, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project teams

Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial performance

Manage project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities

Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders

Identify and mitigate project risks while driving schedule and budget adherence

Support procurement activities and subcontractor management

Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and field teams

5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial, industrial, mission critical, manufacturing, healthcare, or large-scale construction environments

Experience working for a General Contractor, Design-Build Contractor, MEP Contractor, or Construction Management firm

Demonstrated success managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships

Strong understanding of construction project delivery methods and coordination across multiple trades

Experience with change orders, cost tracking, forecasting, and project financial management

Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
