Cath Lab/IR/Neuro Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab/IR/Neuro Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves overseeing various procedures within the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Administer conscious sedation and manage patient care during cardiac and vascular interventional procedures.
Monitor and document patient vital signs and hemodynamics, ensuring optimal patient safety and care.
Assist in various cases including cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general interventional radiology, electrophysiology, and neuro intervention procedures.
Collaborate with a team of technicians and healthcare staff to provide comprehensive patient support.
Stay current with procedural protocols and perform basic EKG interpretation as required.
Float as needed to support the team while ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Schedule and Hours
This position requires flexibility to work 10-hour shifts, with start times varying between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM. Weekend availability for call duty may be required for urgent and emergent cases.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab or related environment.
Current ACLS and BLS certification (must be through AHA).
NIHSS certification is required.
Active RN license in California.

Equipment and Documentation
The Cath Lab utilizes Merge for documentation, while overall hospital records are maintained in Cerner. Proficiency in these systems is beneficial.
Work Environment
The unit consists of 5 procedure suites, with a diverse range of cases handled each day, and staff are cross-trained in various specializations. Travelers must have current Cath Lab experience and must be comfortable with moderate sedation practices and involvements in procedural processes.
