At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental, and construction services. While we are best known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, our work increasingly supports federal, defense, and critical‑infrastructure clients that require rigorous information security and compliance. HDR is a cleared organization supporting programs governed by DoD, DOE, and other federal security frameworks, and we are continuing to mature our enterprise information security posture to meet evolving regulatory and contractual requirements.

In the role of Facility Security Officer (FSO), the individual will be responsible for overseeing and administering the classified security program for an HDR cleared operating company. This role ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, government regulations, and HDR security policies in support of classified contracts.

Supervise and direct security measures for an HDR cleared operating company in accordance with DoD classified contract requirements

Oversee daily security activities and enforce government and company security policies and procedures

Perform access control functions, including management of badges, access cards, and visit requests

Participate in the development and execution of security education and awareness programs

Create, maintain, and update security plans, procedures, and instructions

Prepare and manage DD Form 254 requirements and ensure proper classified document marking

Support security compliance, planning, coordination, education and awareness, and threat and incident response activities

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Security, or a closely related field

5+ years’ experience overseeing classified security programs

Completion of CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum

Must hold and maintain a DoW Top Secret security clearance

#A minimum 3 years experience overseeing classified security programs

Obtain and maintain a security clearances

Require extensive training outlined by DoD requirements

Experience in preparing DD254 and Classified Document Marking

Experience with management and oversight of company security program, compliance, planning and coordination, education and awareness, and threat and incident response
