Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Rundoo
Our mission is to empower independent supply stores with best-in-class technology. Think of your local hardware store or mom-and-pop nurserythese are our clients. From paint to lumber to flooring, over 200,000 such stores across the country sell over $1T of building materials annually using outdated, on-premises systems. We're aiming to help them modernize so that they can continue to thrive.
Our team is made up of builders, sellers, and industry veterans with a shared goal: to bring modern technology to an overlooked industry.
What You'll Do as an SDR at Rundoo
Generate new opportunities per month through outbound calling and email outreach.
Identify and engage with key decision-makers in the home improvement retail space, qualifying leads based on their needs and potential to convert.
Sales Development:
Conduct daily outreach to engage potential clients, with a focus on securing strong interest and participation.
Customer Conversion:
~ Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service throughout the entire sales journey.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

• 0-2 years of experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR) or in a similar sales role, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Comfort with high-volume outbound calling and email outreach.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet and exceed performance targets.
• Experience using CRM software (Salesforce or similar) to track and manage opportunities.
• Bonus Points

Previous experience in the software or tech industry, particularly in SaaS or POS solutions.
Familiarity with the paint retail industry or similar verticals.

Derek - I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio, and graduated from Ohio University down in Athens with an emphasis in Business Administration and a sales certificate from the Ralph and Lucy Schey Sales Centre. I've been in sales in Chicago for the past four years and couldn't be more excited to join the new team here at Rundoo!
taught middle school in Chicago, led sales for a consumer goods start-up, joined Rundoo as an AE and now leads the sales team; I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Marketing and Sport Management, where I developed a strong passion for connecting with people and understanding what drives them.
I studied Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University, but have a strong passion for sales. I also love meeting new people, and not afraid to chat with anyone.
Commission : $32,000 annually (based on performance and targets met)
Equity : $13,541 initial grant value, vesting over 4 years
