Thought Leader Liaison (TLL)The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) role is a senior field-based position within the US commercial organization that will focus on commercial KOL relationship engagement, promotional speaker training and development, and supports the strategic execution of insight generation to inform company direction. The position will report to the Director TLL and is a field-based extension of the marketing team.Thought Leader Development:Develop and maintain KOL Engagement Plans for thought leadersPlan and execute National and Regional Congress Engagement Plan with a focus on meaningful engagements with senior leadership and in support of marketing initiativesSupport commercial KOL influence mapping initiatives by developing profilesMonitor KOL insights about current and future treatment patterns that may impact the commercial strategy and provide feedback for considerationAct as liaison between KOLs and Alexion for on label activities, including office-based cross-functional colleagues and teams (Marketing, Medical, Diagnostics, and Executive leadership)Assist in the facilitation and execution of commercial advisory boards through identification of key advisors equipped to provide compelling insightsAlign with field partners such as Medical Science Liaisons on complementary initiatives with shared customersPromotional Physician Speaker Bureau Management & Engagement:Work with Marketing and Sales Management to identify and recruit KOLs for national and regional faculty and speaker bureausTrain, evaluate, and coach physician speakers to provide high-quality branded and unbranded educationEnsures appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programsMonitors speaker performance at live programsWork with marketing and contracted speakers to gain and synthesize feedback in support of the evolution of promotional programming content, case studies for potential publications, and other commercial projectsProvides field-based training on speaker programs when neededCompliant Collaboration with Regional Field Team:Provides input and support in developing account plansProvides field-based training when neededAddress customer service issues/identified needs and coordinate cross-functional action plans to address on label issue as neededBrand Strategy:Works with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program executionCompliance & Integrity:Bachelor's Degree7 plus years' work experience in academia, medical or bio/pharmaExperience in a combination of one or more of the following areas: product marketing, field sales, clinical, nurse practitioner or thought leader engagementWorking knowledge of Thought Leader engagement practices.Clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and aptitude in complex disease statesEffective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilitiesProven ability to manage large geographical territoryMust live within the assigned territory or within 150 miles of the boarder of the territoryValid driver's license and clean driving record.Travel requirements: Willing to travel 50% of the time including significant overnight and weekend travelThe duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. As is typical of a field-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: travel by public transportation, automobile, train, or plane; use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in complex and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; Graduate degree (MSc, MSN, MBA)Prior experience and/or relationships within the Neurology areaPrior experience in bio/pharma in Marketing or thought leader engagement strongly preferredSelf-driven with strong organizing and planning skillsHighly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelinesThe annual base pay for this position ranges from $174,000 to $261,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
