Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Schedule
12-hour night shifts; weekends may be required.
Assignment Details
Contract length: 16 weeks; guaranteed hours per week not specified.
Requirements
Valid nursing license in the state of practice or proof of application.
Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS and STABLE preferred.
Minimum of 1-year clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
Experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological non-obstetrical care required.
EPIC experience within the last 2 years is required.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
Monitor fetal heart rate and assess maternal well-being during labor.
Administer medications and treatments per nursing protocols and physician orders.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families on care protocols and recovery processes.
