Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a dynamic and team-focused Litigation Paralegal for our Charlotte/Triangle office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced litigation paralegal to work collaboratively with a talented group of attorneys and paralegals in a sophisticated and active litigation department with a focus on excellence and client-service.

Facilitate and coordinate the litigation process from initiation of the action through the discovery process, trial and appeal

• Electronically file pleadings with the North Carolina Business Court, Federal District Courts, administrative tribunals, and Appellate Courts (including maintaining

knowledge of applicable Court rules and assigned judges' current preferred e-filing policies and practices)

• Oversee the filing of State Court pleadings throughout North Carolina (including maintaining knowledge of applicable local rules)
• Assist with maintaining electronic files and document management (Relativity, CaseMap/TextMap/TimeMap, and docketing software)
• Prepare and proofread Tables of Contents and Tables of

Ensure briefs, appendices and other filings are formatted in compliance with applicable rules

• Draft shell discovery requests and responses. Assist with document productions (and occasionally with preparation of privilege logs)
• Special projects including locating witnesses, researching corporate registration (including current address and registered agent), and process for issuing foreign

Post-judgment collection work

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program required
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experienced required
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• electronic filing policies and procedures and ability to research and analyze same
• Proficiency with CaseMap/TextMap/TimeMap, Microsoft suite of programs, Relativity, Westlaw, and Lexis
• Ability to work as part of a cohesive paralegal team
