Position Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at St. Catherine, you will be responsible for providing, coordinating, and overseeing nursing care for residents in a long term care setting. You will work closely with physicians, nurse leaders, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure residents receive safe, high quality, and compassionate care.

You will serve as a clinical leader on your unit, using your assessment skills and professional judgment to guide care decisions, support staff, and promote positive resident outcomes.

What You Will Do

Perform comprehensive resident assessments and develop or update care plans

Administer medications and treatments and ensure accurate documentation

Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in clinical status

Supervise, support, and delegate tasks to LPNs and CNAs

Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Ensure care is delivered according to clinical standards, policies, and regulations

Provide wound care and other skilled nursing interventions as needed

Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health conditions

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life

What We Are Looking For

Active Registered Nurse license in the State of North Dakota in good standing

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Ability to lead and support a team in a clinical setting

Compassionate, patient centered approach to care

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfort with electronic medical record systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Flexibility to work assigned shifts including weekends and holidays

Work Environment

This role is based in a long-term care setting where you will work closely with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary clinical team. The environment is fast paced, hands on, and team oriented, with changing resident needs and frequent clinical decision making.

Physical Requirements Summary

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift

Ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility support

Occasional lifting of up to 50 to 100 pounds with assistance or equipment

Ability to respond quickly to clinical emergencies

Visual, auditory, and manual dexterity required for patient care and documentation
