Because many of our own team members live with diabetes, or have a loved one impacted by diabetes, the work is personal, and we are committed to the cause. comA DAY IN THE LIFE:As a Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in managing the sourcing and procurement of components and finished goods. You'll collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to keep our production plans on track, inventory levels healthy, and supply issues minimal.The Supply Chain Specialist at Tandem is also responsible for:The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of Purchasing and Procurement.Send accurate forecasts and planning updates to vendors.Track and maintain optimal inventory levels and lead times.Resolve delivery issues and supplier performance concerns quickly.Ensure data integrity across item masters, MRP inputs, and component records.Collaborate with Engineering and Contract Manufacturers to validate BOMs.Overall Supplier Management: conduct supplier reviews and assist in QBRs, negotiations, and KPI tracking to ensure peak performance.Drive continuous improvement efforts across procurement and material flow.Ensures compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPPA and other regulatory requirements.WHAT YOU’LL NEED:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.4+ years of experience in material procurement, with change order experience, required.Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong understanding of MRP planning, purchasing processes, and inventory management.Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, planning, and manufacturing teams.This role will be a mix of in-office work at our office on Barnes Canyon, San Diego, CA and remote work. This position is expected to be in office 3 days per week but may vary depending on business demands.In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus and a robust benefits package.Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision available your first day, as well as health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
