Job Description Senior Structural Engineer
JQOL is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing, dedicated, and diverse team. This position will lead structural design projects and work collaboratively with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal staff to successfully deliver high-quality structural engineering construction documents.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with strong structural design experience and a solid understanding of building components, systems, and materials. Lead structural design teams on projects from concept through completion.
Develop and review structural engineering construction documents.
Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Perform structural design and analysis for various building components and systems.
Delegate and manage design and drafting tasks based on team members' experience and capabilities.
Resolve technical issues and coordinate structural design with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
Prepare detailed engineering reports and supporting documentation.
Coordinate structural requirements with other project disciplines.
Help staff understand how other disciplines and building systems impact structural design.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and internal staff.
Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
Strong understanding of building components, structural systems, and various construction materials.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing complex building components.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Strong structural engineering design experience.
Experience with Revit and BIM 360 .
