PHARMACY - PHARMACIST I

PharmacistPharmacist is responsible for processing and filling prescriptions. Pharmacist is also responsible for ordering, receiving, and stocking shelves in the Pharmacy as well as providing attentive and courteous customer service.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitationProcess customer orders while providing attentive and courteous customer serviceRequired to perform the final check on all medications before dispensing to the customerReceive telephone prescriptions and authorizations from prescriber's officesConsult with patients about prescribed medications and other health issues and recommend over-the-counter medicationsAchievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expenseAdhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptionsTrain and develop pharmacy interns and techniciansComplete all necessary paperwork relating to Pharmacy DepartmentMaintain security of all controlled substancesMaintain adequate supplies, place orders when neededProcess orders to include filling prescriptions and accepting paymentMinimize shrink through proper handling and storing of productMinimum Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageState Licensed PharmacistAbility to read, write, and perform basic math functionsPossess basic computer skillsPossess strong communication skillsPhysical Requirements:Walking Frequent 3-5 HoursStanding Constant 5-8 HoursGrasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity- Left/Right Hands Constant 5-8 HoursBending Occasional 1-3 HoursTwisting Occasional 1-3 HoursPivoting Occasional 1-3 HoursSquatting/Kneeling Occasional 1-3 HoursPushing/Pulling Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 25lbsLifting Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 25lbsEquipment Used:Operation of the following: Pharmacy Computer Case Cutter Marking Gun Cash Register Pill Counter Ladder (must be 18 yrs. of age)Our Company does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, affection or sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, liability for military service, status as a veteran, gender identity or expression, genetic information, pregnancy, and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
