Hotel Valet Attendant - Overnight Shift

SUMMARY The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The associate also parks and retrieves guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assists guests with luggage, including delivery and pick‑up during arrival and departure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients; acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor and uses guest last names during interactions. (25%)
Uses salutation of the day, welcomes guests to the location, practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette, and posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks. (10%)
Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed, and opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (20%)
Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; and shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location. (10%)
Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival; issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system; consistently records location on all key tags after parking; and calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Licensure: Must hold a valid driver's license for the state in which you are applying, or be within a commutable distance from that state.
Work Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills: Ability to read and write standard English, comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees; perform basic arithmetic with monetary units; understand 24‑hour and military time systems; understand applicable rates; operate a manual transmission (desirable); and perform parallel parking.
SCOPE Authority to act: The job is routine. The incumbent follows established practices and procedures, performs duties with specific directions, and has work checked or verified frequently. Decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines; errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Physical requirements: Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Vision: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Lifting: Exert up to 100lbs occasionally, up to 50lbs frequently, up to 20lbs constantly to move objects.
Environment: Majority of work performed outdoors for the entire shift; subject to extreme heat and cold weather; protection may be provided but not guaranteed; travel up to 5% may be required.

COMPENSATION Hourly base pay range: $10‑$11 per hour plus $6 per hour in shift differential (12a‑6a) plus $5‑$10 per hour in tips.
WORK SCHEDULE 11p‑m to 7a‑m.
