Join a locally owned fine jewelry store that values craftsmanship, service, and community. Spicer Greene Jewelers is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Inventory Specialist to support our day-to-day accounting and retail operations in downtown Asheville.

About the role This is a hands‑on role for someone who is strong with numbers and equally comfortable handling physical inventory. Most of your week is bookkeeping — entering invoices, recording payments, and supporting our month‑end close in Microsoft Dynamics 365. The rest is inventory operations: shipping and receiving merchandise, processing items for refining, and managing our online resale listings. What you'll do Accounting & Bookkeeping (primary) Enter vendor invoices and maintain accurate records in Microsoft Dynamics 365

Record customer payments, deposits, and daily sales batches

Track accounts payable and help ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time

Assist with credit card and bank reconciliations and general ledger reviews

Prepare supporting documentation for month‑end close, including prepaid and accrual entries

Monitor the shared accounting inbox for bills, statements, and payment confirmations

Inventory & Shipping Package, ship, and receive jewelry and merchandise, documenting everything in our inventory system

Prepare and process items for shipment to the refinery for melting and recycling, keeping precise records of materials sent and received

Identify items for resale, create and maintain listings on eBay and other platforms, and keep ads accurate and engaging

What we’re looking for 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience *(required)*

Comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Strong organizational skills and genuine attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another ERP system *(a plus — we'll train the right person)*

Experience with eBay or other online resale platforms *(a plus)*
