Base Pay Range: $36.40 per hour - PRN Flat Rate

Shift Differentials:

Additional $2.75 per hour for weekday evening shift

Additional $4.00 per hour for weekday night shift

Additional $3.00 per hour for weekend day shift

Additional $5.75 per hour for weekend evening shift

Additional $7.00 per hour for weekend night shift

About the Neuroscience ICU

The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) is a 30-bed, high-acuity unit specializing in the care of patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. We serve a broad patient population from across the region, providing expert care for individuals experiencing hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, seizure disorders, and those recovering from neurosurgical procedures.

Our nurses are highly trained in managing advanced neurological monitoring and life-support equipment, and they deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are the only institution in mid-Missouri to earn the Comprehensive Stroke Center certification from DNV GL Healthcare. The Neuro ICU is also actively involved in clinical research and maintains strong partnerships with the Nurse Residency Program and the School of Medicine, offering exceptional opportunities for professional development and academic engagement.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our nursing team. You will assess and meet the varied needs of patients, connect on a personal level, manage pain using innovative tools, administer medications, educate patients and families, evaluate outcomes, maintain standards, and collaborate with physicians and nursing supervisors to deliver exceptional, holistic patient-centered care.

Assess the patient's condition, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative patient needs, including discharge planning.

Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions in achieving goals and intended patient care outcomes.

Maintain standards of nursing care and implement the hospital’s policies and procedures of the unit.

Participate in meetings, in‑services, quality, and performance improvement groups. Provide quality patient care and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure highest patient satisfaction.

May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi‑state RN. One (1) year of RN experience.

it is a health‑care facility open 24/7, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
