Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Stratford, CT

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, production layouts, and automated systems to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance. The role utilizes advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, 3D modeling, CAM, IoT, and data analytics to drive continuous improvement. The position also collaborates with cross-functional teams and product design to ensure manufacturing processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with operational requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
Drive the adoption of new technologies and manufacturing processes, including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
Develop and analyze 3D model-based data to optimize manufacturing processes and create digital work instructions.
Apply knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, and automated processes to define operating procedures, production sequences, and build processes.
Evaluate the performance and efficiency of manufacturing equipment, tools, and IoT-enabled devices.
Investigate equipment and process issues and implement corrective actions to improve reliability, quality, and operational excellence.
Utilize factory data to develop statistical process control (SPC) methods and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Integrate reporting, data analytics, and process-monitoring solutions to support manufacturing performance and decision-making.
Provide manufacturing engineering input to product design teams on design concepts, specifications, equipment capabilities, and manufacturing techniques.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, quality improvement, and increased production efficiency.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• 2 or more years’ engineering experience
• Experience with mechanical engineering
• Experience with CAD
• Experience with CATIA or Solumina
