Full time

We need a 40 hour employee for outpatient physical therapy. Normal schedule - Monday - Friday + some weekend and holiday hours required for coverage of inpatient population at Peach Medical Center.

Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals of time demonstrating the ability to observe treatment effect and modify the plan of care as indicated.

Involves the patient and /or family in the assessment process and the formation of the care plan.

Care Planning / Interdisciplinary Communication

Provides care in accordance with physician’s orders.

Demonstrates appropriate case management to ensure quality of care and best patient outcome.

Communicates appropriately to physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the health care team to ensure care is collaborative and appropriate.

Assesses and documents patient outcomes criteria at the initial and discharge evaluations. (Physical Therapy Modalities / Patient Treatment

Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy modalities / treatments and performs correctly.

Operates Equipment Safely and Correctly

Demonstrates knowledge of and competency in using equipment pertinent to providing physical therapy services.

Documentation meets current standards and policies.

Medical Records are closed as per policy.

Time is adequately documented in the assessments and daily treatment notes.

Demonstrates self-growth as a professional therapist.

Engages in continuing education and professional growth opportunities

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree in physical therapy

New graduates will be considered

Good interpersonal and communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to be flexible and dependable

Must be able to use visual near and distance acuity. Must have verbal ability to communicate in person and over the phone or radio. Must be able to assist co-workers in transfers and transport supplies, patients/residents, or equipment using good body mechanics.
