Registered Nurse - Perioperative - Surgery Nurse

Role Overview This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for evaluating patients pre-surgery, providing education, preparing patients, participating in surgical site verification, recognizing emergencies, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, applies evidence-based practices, and monitors patient conditions throughout shifts.

The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, applies evidence-based practices, and monitors patient conditions throughout shifts.
Key Responsibilities Assess and prepare patients for surgery
Educate patients and families about procedures
Ensure surgical site verification and adhere to protocols
Respond to patient emergencies and document care
Participate in surgical team activities and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills Current RN licensure in Colorado or active multi-state license
Minimum one year perioperative (OR) experience
Certification in BLS; ACLS and PALS within six months
Preferred: CNOR certification, BSN degree
