Openwork is now hiring General Labor Associates for scrap metal recycling yards in Locust Grove, GA and Griffin, GA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and performing physically demanding work in an outdoor industrial environment. If you prefer active, hands-on work over sitting at a desk, this could be a great fit for you.This is a fast-paced outdoor position that requires continuous physical labor and productivity throughout the entire shift. Employees work outside in all weather conditions year-round, including heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor elements. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors daily and staying active throughout the shift with very limited downtime.Position: General Labor - Scrap Metal Recycling YardPay Rate: $15.00/hrSchedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00AM - 4:30PMJob Duties:Sort and separate scrap metal by handAssist with loading and unloading customer and company vehiclesPerform repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shiftMaintain cleanliness of the recycling yard and surrounding work areasUse hand tools and equipment safely and efficientlySupport daily yard operations in a fast-paced industrial environmentRemain productive and physically active throughout the entire workdayRequirements:Must be dependable and report to work on time dailyMust be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsMust be physically capable of performing demanding manual labor throughout the shiftPrevious outdoor labor experience preferredAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsSteel toe boots required at all timesMust dress appropriately for changing weather conditions and outdoor work environmentsDress Code:Steel toe boots are REQUIREDEmployees must dress appropriately for heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor weather conditionsThis opportunity is perfect for individuals who enjoy physical work, staying productive, and working in a hands-on outdoor environment.Preferred: Visit our OPENWORK office in Locust Grove to apply in person:4409 Hwy 42Locust Grove, GA 30248Walk-in application hours:Monday - Thursday9:00AM - 11:00AM1:00PM - 3:00PM
