Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client, a market-leading manufacturer of connected consumer products for the home, is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Electronics team and help bring the next generation of product features and technology to market. In this role you will design IoT hardware platforms, implement hardware architecture across product lines, partner with cross-functional teams, and coordinate with suppliers to launch new electronic products. You will work alongside a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, reusable designs, and communicate across engineering disciplines, product management, software, and IT to ensure products meet requirements and customer needs. This role reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and provides technical direction to engineering contractors.

Own the delivery and integration of hardware designs for new projects and IoT platforms.

Partner with cross-functional teams to design schematics and PCBA layouts for new products, sustain and maintain hardware for existing products, and architect future products and platforms.

Refine and influence engineering processes and best practices.

Contribute to data models that surface critical insights on customer usage habits and installation environments.

Partner with Quality and Customer Service teams to diagnose field-failure returns and identify corrective and preventive countermeasures that inform future design and test strategy.

Operate as an individual contributor with general direction and autonomy, with opportunities to lead initiatives and projects as fitting.

BSEE, Engineering Technology, or other relevant engineering degree.

• 5+ years of engineering and technical design experience with a proven record of product development and execution.
• Mastery of electronic schematics, PCBA design, debug, and verification.
• Strong background in requirements definition, DFMEA, verification and validation testing, and electronics manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Agile project management.
• Self-starter who takes initiative to keep projects on schedule.
