Finance Department Bookkeeper

Our client is a steadily growing financial services firm seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a hands-on role supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations and working closely with accounting leadership. Join a stable and steadily growing financial services organization
Hands-on role with a broad range of accounting responsibilities
Work closely with accounting leadership and gain exposure to various areas of the business
Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor invoices, payments, client billing, and deposits
Monitor daily bank activity and assist with cash management, transfers, and deposits
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
The Bookkeeper will prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger activity and month-end close
Assist with financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Perform basic variance analysis and research discrepancies to help identify and resolve accounting issues
Support 1099 preparation, payroll-related payments, expense reimbursements, and other accounting activities
The Bookkeeper will build and maintain Excel templates, formulas, and PivotTables to improve accounting processes and reporting
Assist with special accounting and operational projects as needed
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
QuickBooks Online experience required
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and PivotTables
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
Interest in process improvement, automation, and using technology to improve efficiency
Financial services, professional services, or family office experience is a plus
