Schedule: Full-Time | 12:00pm - 8:00pm including every other weekend

You are a dedicated and skilled culinary professional who brings both precision and passion to the kitchen. You understand food safety and preparation standards, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to creating high-quality meals that enhance the dining experience of our residents.

Prepares food served using established production procedures and recipes.

Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems

Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation

servers or ensures proper serving of food in dining room, nursing unit, salad bar and associate food line if applicable

Follows all HACCP protocols and complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards. Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.

Stores food properly and safely, marking the date and item. Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders. Preps food as necessary.

Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved.

cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation. Reports necessary necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor

Completes food temperature checks before service.

Some prior experience in a related food service position is required

Must be at least 18 years old, due to the Hazardous Occupations Order of the Dept. Must possess a customer service background and orientation

A minimum of 1 year related experience in continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant or similar facility as a Line Cook is preferred
