The physical therapist assistant will work with the evaluating physical therapist to administer a medically prescribed physical therapy program for their assigned patients/clients. What the Physical Therapist Assistant ( PTA ) Will Do:
Accountable for the implementation of a written treatment plan and administers treatment for each patient according to the stated goals.

Helps train patients and the patient's family in the use of medical equipment and make recommendations for appropriate equipment as necessary.

Participates in planning for patient discharge by considering and communicating with patients, families , and community.

Must be a graduate from a physical therapist assistant training program accredited by American Physical Therapy Association.

State of Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date.
