Responsible for properly preparing various types of Pastries & Desserts and to ensure that all presentations are aesthetically appealing and adhere to the Jeff Ruby standard of quality.

Prepare all pastry items in accordance with company‑approved recipes.
Develop new and innovative pastry items to be used as specials or potential new menu items.
Ensure that all dessert components are fully stocked and prepared for service.
Follow all safety and health rules for sanitary food handling and kitchen cleanliness.
Assist coworkers to ensure efficient operation of the line.
Ability to stand and walk during 6 to 8 hour shifts.
Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves in storerooms and freezers.
Training and Experience
Food preparation knowledge and line work experience.
Ability to operate various cooking equipment.
At least a year’s training at a culinary institute or previous restaurant training and experience required.
