Production Underwriter - Insurance

Argo Group is an underwriter of specialty insurance products in the property and casualty market. Argo offers a full line of products and services designed to meet the unique coverage and claims-handling needs of businesses. This is a production underwriting position responsible for marketing,underwritingand processingassignedlines of business.

This is a 100%in-office position . Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours.

Review and price policies to verify acceptability based upon company underwriting guidelines and granted underwriting authority.

Interact in person, via email, and by phone with brokers to obtain further risk-specific details, negotiate terms and pricing, and explain company positions.

Manage assignedportfolioin underwriting territory, including the performance (GWP, loss ratio) of assigned brokers.

Create, analyze, and interpret data from various reports/dashboards.

Complete underwriting analysis andmaintaincomplete underwriting file.

Bachelor's degree and three-plus years related insurance experience and/or equivalent combination of education

Advanced knowledge of computer programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to travel
