Graduate Counselor

HCC faculty are expected to contribute to the college community through committee work, on-going professional development, and collaborative curriculum development. Provides counseling services to students in a professional manner via scheduled meetings, walk-in basis, via telephone, email or in-person.
Served as cluster officer or on cluster subcommittee when needed; attends all cluster meetings unless on approved leave or fulfilling a previously scheduled college or academic-related commitment or medical appointment.
Collaborates with other college departments such as Athletics, SGA, Academic Advising and Honors.
Attend graduation unless excused or on approved leave.
Collaborates with other education professionals and academic advisors to ensure student success.
Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in counseling, guidance, student personnel services, or related fields that pertain to human service professionals.

Bilingual and five years in higher education Counseling.

Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union
Grade 2: Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in field $51,934.60
Grade 2+: Master's Degree with 60 graduate semester hours in the field $54,594.23
Grade 1: PhD in major field $57,255.05
