Administrative AssistantDepartment: PSSMAvailability of Position: ASAPSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pmReporting Relationship: Business and Property Manager, Housing and Project Coordinator & Director of Reed HouseSalary/Grade: $18 per hourThe Salvation Army is hiring and offers truly excellent benefit package to eligible employees including:Generous paid time off every year that includes: holidays, up to 3 personal days, vacation time and sick time. Reed House is a facility that is funded by the city of Philadelphia through the Department of housing and urban development’s Continuum of Care funding source. It is also funded by the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA), therefore, the residents are responsible for thirty percent of their rent, and PHA will pay for the other seventy percent of the rent through a Housing Assistance Payment directly to the site. Description of Position: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Business and Property Manager, and the Director of Reed House and Shelter Plus Care and, in doing so, always preserve confidentiality and exhibit professionalism in interactions with residents, other staff, and outside agencies and vendors. Other duties include word processing, filing, scheduling, record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, working on special projects; creates and develops visual presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software; Requirements:Experience in multifamily maintenance and experience involving affordable housing, senior housing, or special needs housing.Must be able to keep information in a confidential and secure fashion.Must have High School Diploma or GED and at least two years building maintenance experience.Required use of personal vehicle for depositing of rents.
