Head of Project Management & Strategy

Location: The Woodlands, TX, US, 77380

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Dover Precision Components (DPC) is hiring a Strategic Project Manager . The role can be based at either of our Houston locations: Pearland or The Woodlands. Work is hybrid with up to 2 days remote and 3 days onsite; 15% travel required.

What You'll Do

The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for aligning and coordinating all aspects of Project Management, from initiation to completion of manufacturing and supply chain initiatives. The role bridges high-level strategy with execution, analyzes risk, and ensures projects finish on time, within scope, and on budget.

Drive operational excellence; ensure projects align with DPC’s long‑term mission and strategic pillars.

Manage all phases of strategic projects: planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.

Prepare and present status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Lead project meetings and coordinate communication between internal teams and external partners.

Foster a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement and organizational change.

Develop and monitor KPIs; analyze data to evaluate project success and inform decision‑making.

Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure projects meet required standards (compliance, quality, safety, etc.).

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

7+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, preferably in a Lean manufacturing environment with proven experience leading strategic projects across cross‑functional teams.

Strong project management skills; ability to deliver results across multi‑site operations.

Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Microsoft Project).

Ability to coach, motivate, and influence stakeholders.

Strong leadership, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

High self‑motivation, proactive problem‑solving, and strong decision‑making capabilities.

Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Power BI (Value Stream Mapping).

Preferred Qualifications

PMP certification.

Master’s Degree in Project Management and/or Business Administration.
