About the Role Pressed Cafe is seeking a proactive, hands‑on Manager of Facilities to own the physical health of our cafe portfolio and serve as our boots‑on‑the‑ground partner for new location development. Reporting to the SVP of Ops Services, you will partner closely with restaurant leadership, vendors, contractors, architects, and engineers across both day‑to‑day facilities operations. The ideal candidate is organized, solutions‑oriented, and comfortable toggling between a leaking refrigeration unit on Tuesday morning and an OAC call on a Wednesday afternoon.
What You’ll Do Oversee day‑to‑day facilities operations for all Pressed Cafe locations across the market.
Manage preventative maintenance programs, repairs, and ongoing upkeep of cafe spaces, systems, and equipment, with a strong focus on transitioning new locations into long‑term maintenance programs post‑opening.
Conduct regular site visits, audits, and walkthroughs to ensure all locations are safe, compliant, clean, and operating effectively.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, security systems, pest control, and foodservice equipment.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, evaluate service levels, and ensure quality performance.
Oversee facilities budgets including maintenance contracts, repairs, and capital improvement projects.
Manage work order systems, ensuring timely response and resolution of issues. Review and approve vendor invoices and related facilities expenses.
Respond to urgent maintenance or operational emergencies as needed, including occasional after‑hours support.
Work with the finance team to prepare reports and analysis related to maintenance trends, costs, and facility performance.
Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.
What You Bring 4+ years of facilities management, property maintenance, restaurant operations, or related experience.
Experience supporting multi‑site operations preferred.
Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and general maintenance.
Experience managing vendors, service contracts, and repair budgets.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond quickly to urgent situations.
Strong communication skills with a service‑first mindset.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with operations, construction, and leadership teams.
Ability to read plans, technical drawings, and construction documents is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly between café locations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or respond to emergencies when needed.
Hospitality or restaurant facilities experience strongly preferred.
Facilities certifications (IFMA, CFM, or similar) are a plus.
