Machinist - 2nd Shift Full Time

Position Hours: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Monday - Friday; Flexible start and end times varying on operational needs.
Position Wage: $23.40 - $40.95 per hour (17% shift differential included)

The Machinist will be reporting to the Lead Machinist and is responsible for heavy sectioning and sample coupon preparation.
Running the horizontal bandsaws, Bridgeport mill, CNC mill, CNC lathe, and drill press.
Document lab results in Bluestreak, Midwest Metallurgical Laboratories (MML) in-house operating system
Section and prepare samples for mechanical testing and metallography
Perform basic maintenance on all shop equipment
Calibrate equipment as required
Monitor & maintain machine shop supplies
Prepare items for transfer between various work centers

May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods in a non-climate controlled industrial environment
Capable of lifting and carrying at least 25-pound objects throughout shift
Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience : Previous machine shop and/or heat treat experience considered a plus. CNC experience a plus.
